Woman Tackled & Sexually Assaulted by Suspect on the Upper East Side: NYPD

A 30-year-old woman became a victim of sexual violence, attacked from behind, tackled to the ground and assaulted by a creep in the cover of night last month— now investigators are hoping surveillance video will help them catch the suspect.

Police say the victim was walking near the corner of East 81st Street and First Avenue in Yorkville just after midnight on Saturday, June 11th, when a man ambushed her— tackling the 30 year old on the sidewalk out of nowhere.

Once on the ground, detectives say the suspect ‘mounted the victim,’ getting on top of her and groping her chest while kissing her face.

The woman struggled with her attacker, according to police, and the sexual deviant ran away southbound on First Avenue and was last seen heading westbound on East 82 street towards Second Avenue.
