Basically, it boils down to being a reasonable person. This list isn’t exhaustive, but here’s what you need to know:

Upper East Site prohibits comments encouraging dangerous behavior or acts of violence.
No Hate Speech
Don’t be racist. Upper East Site will not tolerate any bullying because of a person’s race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, nationality, veteran status or sexual orientation.
No Spamming
No links in comments, please. Making multiple accounts to spam us? You’ll get banned. Evading a ban? Super-Double Banned.
No Disinformation
Don’t spread misinformation or disinformation in our comments section. No plotting insurrections either.
No Personal Attacks
Safety and privacy are of the utmost importance, that means no doxxing or personal attacks on other Upper East Site subscribers.
No Illegal Activity
Don’t post anything criminal or advocate for crime.
No Impersonation
You may not impersonate anyone. Misrepresenting your identity in an effort to deceive or mislead will not be tolerated.
No Infringement
We respect Copyrights and Trademarks and expect you to do the same. Give attribution when appropriate.
Enforcement
To enforce these rules, we may take a variety of actions against violators including removal of content, limitations on service and suspensions from our platform.
