MANHATTAN – Neighbors won’t have to wait much longer to satisfy their sweet tooth with piping hot sugary glazed donuts fresh from Krispy Kreme’s latest expansion in the city— a brand new donut shop on Lexington Avenue near East 86th Street on the Upper East Side.
Krispy Kreme made the announcement on Facebook this week— inviting everyone to the grand opening of their new donut shop at 1276 Lexington Avenue on Tuesday, October 12th at 7:00 am.
“You’ve been waiting and we’re finally here Upper East Side,” the company wrote in a statement announcing the grand opening date.
“Starting on Tuesday, October 12th, Krispy Kreme is bringing our iconic melt-in-your-mouth Original Glazed doughnuts to your neighborhood!!”
In case you needed more motivation to stop by and grab a donut, Krispy Kreme says customers who make a purchase at the new UES through Sunday, October 17th will have a chance to win free donuts for a year.
The new shop is open late too, if you’re not a morning person. You can grab a donut as late as 11:00pm Sunday through Thursday, and they’re open until midnight on Friday and Saturday.
Krispy Kreme has been expanding rapidly in the city this year— that includes opening a new East Harlem donut shop on Third Avenue at East 104th Street in July and a Flatiron location last February.
