Community Board 8 Votes Against Blood Center Tower

Marc Bussanich, TAPinto Sutton Place/Lenox Hill

New York, NY — The full board of Community Board 8 held a special meeting to continue the discussion with the New York Blood Center representatives about potential changes to its proposal to build a 334-tall glass tower on the midblock. The community board has until June 28 to issue their formal recommendation for the project, but last night it voted overwhelmingly on a motion to disapprove the current Blood Center proposal.
