New York, NY — The full board of Community Board 8 held a special meeting to continue the discussion with the New York Blood Center representatives about potential changes to its proposal to build a 334-tall glass tower on the midblock. But to date, the Blood Center has not made any modifications to assuage the board or the community.
The community board has until June 28 to issue their formal recommendation for the project, but last night it voted overwhelmingly on a motion to disapprove the current Blood Center proposal.
