  1. How can the idiots running this city keep saying every day that crime is down? What do they consider a crime – only murders? Any violation against another human being is a crime.

    • The report does say that felony assaults are up 11%. I think many of would agree it’s higher.
      We used to be able to feel safe in our neighborhood at all hours. Now we have to fear random violence at any time – and this news site reports such violent crimes every day!

      • It seems the criminals are targeting UES neighborhoods because they assume that all people here have a lot of money.
        However, walking the streets late at night or early morning is not safe. This lady did that and even carrying a bag. Not street-wise.
