More than a year in the making, Yorkville’s ‘Heavenly’ trifecta is now compete. Heavenly Cafe opened Tuesday on York Avenue at the southeast corner of East 88th Street. The fast-casual spot for coffee, pastries, sandwiches and gelato is the latest extension of the popular brand Heavenly Market — which has a deli and pizzeria directly across the street from the new cafe, as well as another Upper East Side market just a block north.
Step inside Heavenly Cafe, located at 1672 York Avenue, and you’ll immediately notice it feels different than its sister markets, which have rapidly expanded throughout the Upper East Side and Manhattan, earning a reputation for themselves among die-hard customers for serving tasty fresh made sandwiches, salads and juices at affordable prices.

You won’t see any neon Boars Head signs hanging in the floor-to-ceiling windows that envelop Heavenly Cafe or shelves stacked with products inside.

Instead, there’s a clear view of the cafe’s main attraction, a wooden display case packed with croissants, scones and danishes from Balthazar Bakery as well as an assortment of cakes, macarons, tiramisu and other decadent pastries.

If you’re hungry for something a little larger, egg sandwich and platters are available in addition to a small selection of sandwiches, including their Wild Mushroom Grilled Cheese stuffed with taleggio and gruyere cheeses and the Chicken Blast — featuring a fried chicken breast filet topped with crispy bacon, romaine lettuce, heirloom tomato and Sriracha mayo served on ciabatta.

Heavenly Cafe also offers staples like its classic burgers made with Kobe beef, the Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad and their take on Avocado Toast, topped with cherry tomatoes, over easy eggs, feta cheese and micro greens, served on multigrain bread.

The coffee bar has you covered when it comes to the perfect cup of joe. Espresso, lattes, cappuccino, macchiato, cold Brew and even nitro cold brew are all available with or without flavored syrups and your choice of cow’s milk or for an extra charge, almond, oat or soy milk.
Hot tea, iced tea, masala chai latte and even a wide selection of bubble tea are also available.

Heavenly Cafe also has a special brunch menu, only available Friday through Sunday, featuring hearty entrees including Steak & Eggs, Chicken & Waffles, Eggs Benedict, a custom frittata with four toppings and the Brunch Burger — which comes with crispy bacon, an over easy egg, caramelized onions, cheddar cheese and heavenly sauce.

Featuring modern styling, white subway tile and dark blue accent wall that draws the eye, Heavenly Cafe elevates the customer experience by creating a comfortable, welcoming space where Upper East Side residents can slow down, sip their coffee and enjoy their meal.
Comfortable bench seats line the northern wall of the space, accompanied by a row of tables, each of which has been laser-engraved with the Heavenly Cafe logo.

During the soft launch, hours will be from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm daily. After working out the kinks, Heavenly Cafe will be open until 10:00 pm every day.
