Things have gotten a lot sweeter on the Upper East Side now that Nuts Factory has opened its second shop in the neighborhood, bringing its market style displays packed with candies, chocolates and, of course, fresh-roasted nuts and seeds a little further north.

The new Nuts Factory store is located at 1294 Third Avenue, at the corner of East 74th Street in Lenox Hill — next to Bread’s Bakery. Before you step inside, your eyes will feast on the overflowing barrels of candy lining the large front windows.

Step inside and you’re greeted by case after case of every raw, roasted and flavored nut and seed you can think of, plus a machine fresh-roasting nuts on the spot. Feel free to try before you buy, but make sure to use the tongs or a cup to keep things sanitary.

Nuts are just the beginning of what Nuts Factory has to offer — jumbo dates, figs, kiwis, mangos, pears and ginger are just a handful of dried fruits also available, in addition to a wide selection of hard candies, gummies, licorice and plenty of decadent chocolate treats.

If you’ve never been to a Nuts Factory, the home chef in you you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the display case in the rear featuring dozens of different ground spices, as well as a small selection of gourmet groceries — including sauces, oils, dried beans, pickled vegetables and pasta.

This new Upper East Side shop is the fourth in Manhattan, complimenting Nuts Factory’s original UES location at 1030 Third Avenue, at the corner of East 61st Street, inside the Trump Plaza come building.

Both UES shops are open from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm daily.
