Man Falls to His Death from UES Apartment Building While Cleaning Windows

A 61-year-old man tragically fell to his death Saturday morning at a luxury apartment building along Park Avenue on the Upper East Side, apparently while trying to clean windows on an apartment, sources tell Upper East Site.

Police say it was just before 7:00 am when they received a call for help at 920 Park Avenue, at East 80th Street, reporting a man had fallen from the building.

When officers arrived they found the 61-year-old man, who has not been publicly identified, unconscious and unresponsive in the rear of the building, his body showing signs of trauma from falling from an elevated position.

Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Upper East Site has learned a preliminary investigation reveals the man fell from a sixth floor window of the 21-story luxury rental building while cleaning the windows of his apartment.

No foul play is suspected at this time.
