GALLERY: German-American Steuben Parade Takes Over Fifth Avenue

German-American Steuben Parade/Upper East Site

MANHATTAN – After the Covid-19 pandemic forced a virtual event last year, the 64th Annual German-American Steuben Parade took over Fifth Avenue on Saturday, September 18th in a show of pride and celebration of German, Austrian and Swiss-American culture and traditions on the Upper East Side.

The first parade held on Fifth Avenue since the start of the pandemic included colorful floats and plenty of smiles, with crowds lining the Steuben Parade route stretching from East 68th Street to East 86th Street in what was a refreshingly normal sight during these trying times.
