The Upper East Side is now home to Faherty’s new flagship store on Madison Avenue. The lifestyle clothing brand opened the doors of its new location at the corner of East 86th Street just before Christmas, officially bringing its sun-and-surf-inspired clothing brand to the neighborhood.

While shoppers browsed the selection of Faherty’s beachy-themed men’s and women’s collections inside the store this week, construction is still underway on the exterior of the store located at 1175 Madison Avenue.

Workers were busy replacing the large square green and black time facade with new blue subway tile, giving Faherty a refreshed look.

The large display windows and high ceilings give the new Faherty Brand store a spacious feeling despite clocking in at just over 3,000 square feet. Checkout is directly across from the entrance of the store on Madison Avenue with menswear occupying most of entrance and space to the right.

Women’s clothes are to the left of the entrance, up a few steps, separating the section from the men’s area. A ramp could be seen stored next to the stairs for customers needing assistance. Dressing rooms are available in both the men’s and women’s sections.

Taking a look at Faherty’s logo featuring the sun rising over the ocean, you might think the lifestyle brand is built on west coast vibes. You’d be wrong. The family-run business was founded in 2013 by the Faherty brothers, Mike and Alex— who grew up along the Jersey shore.

Here on the Upper East Side, the new flagship store will do more than just be a place to shop for a new outfit. Faherty plans to add its own coffee shop to the Madison Avenue store, with the first cups brewed this spring.
Faherty replaces longtime tenant Williams-Sonoma, which shut down its housewares store at the busy UES corner back in 2021.

The new store is open from 10:00 am until 7:00 pm Monday through Saturday, and from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm on Sundays.
