BUSTED: Upper East Side Woman Charged with Hate Crime in Anti-Gay Attack

MANHATTAN – Just two months after a hate crime during Pride Month on the Upper East Side, a Yorkville woman is under arrest, accused of hurling homophobic slurs and at a stranger and trying to rip their mask off— all in broad daylight.

It was 1:30 in the afternoon, in front of Móle, a Mexican restaurant on Second Avenue near East 90th Street, when sources tell Upper East Site the suspect saw the victim had a mask featuring a Pride flag and told him to “take that fa**ot shit off your neck.”

After making that vile statement and trying to rip off the mask, police say the suspect— who lives just a few blocks from the scene at 91st Street and York Avenue— threw her own bag at the victim and then spit on him.
