MANHATTAN – A peaceful summer afternoon on the Upper East Side turned violent leaving bloody clothes on the sidewalk, a man in the hospital and neighbors shaken after a stabbing in broad daylight.
Police tell Upper East Site the victim was a 26-year-old man who didn’t know his attacker–a complete stranger who stabbed him multiple times in the torso leaving him bleeding out on the sidewalk.

The busy block was turned into a crime scene when that the victim was knifed repeatedly during a dispute outside a Citibank on East 86th street in Yorkville just after 1pm Friday— police were quick to respond, with NYPD officers securing the area.

Neighbors were stunned to hear about the bloodshed near the bustling corner of East 86th street and Lexington Avenue. One couple that spoke to Upper East Site was shocked by violence in front of their own building.

The victim was rushed to the hospital, but their condition is not known. The suspect is still at large– police say he’s about 5’9″, 180 lbs and was last seen wearing black jeans, a black t-shirt and a red du-rag.
