MANHATTAN- A true iced coffee aficionado does not let the temperature sway them from ordering a great cup of joe on the rocks. Thankfully for those who live or work on the Upper East Side, we’re fortunate enough to have some of the city’s best coffee joints that serve delicious iced coffee.
On a mission to seek out the best iced coffee in the neighborhood, we surveyed Upper East Siders on Instagram and did some digging ourselves.
With a caffeine buzz to show for it, we’ve narrowed down the top five iced coffees on the Upper East Side.
Stella & Fly
Located on First Avenue between East 88th and 89th Streets in Yorkville, Stella & Fly is a quaint coffee shop by day and a lively bar at night.

On top of being a wonderful place to work or catch up with friends, it has an incredible cup of iced coffee.
Pro Tip: They also make a wonderful espresso martini, if you’re stopping in after hours.

Ralph’s Coffee
Steps away from Central Park, Ralph’s Coffee not only has an aesthetic worthy of an Instagram post, it has a flavorful cold brew coffee.
Whether you’re enjoying Ralph’s coffee on-the-go or on their front patio, know your coffee is made of beans organically grown and roasted and packaged by La Colombe.

The ‘Ralph’ in Ralph’s Coffee is none other than Ralph Lauren– the shop is inside fashion designer’s store on the corner of 72nd street and Madison Avenue in Lenox Hill, but has its own entrance.
Maman
Although there are a few Maman coffee shops throughout New York City, we’re giving a special shoutout to their Upper East Side location on Third Avenue between East 80th and 81st streets.

Their coffee is sourced from Parlor Coffee Roastery in Brooklyn– and the blend Merci is exclusive only to Maman’s locations and has notes of brown sugar, cocoa and baking spice.
Pro Tip: Maman has recently banned laptop use in the restaurant, so if you plan on sipping iced coffee while writing the next great American novel, this may not be your spot.

Ella’s Cafe
Both an Espresso and Wine Bar, Ella’s Cafe is a true neighborhood staple located on Second Avenue between East 76th and 77th Streets.
Their coffee is sourced from trusted farmers handpicked by Ella’s Cafe to ensure quality in every sip.

Best of all, Ella’s cup of iced coffee is brewed and stored cold to create the perfect ice-to-coffee ratio, as the last thing we want is a watered down glass of iced coffee.

Hutch + Waldo
If their adorable french bulldog logo didn’t pull you in, Hutch and Waldo’s amazing iced coffee sure will.
An Australian coffee shop located on East 81st between Second and Third Avenues, Hutch and Waldo has been proudly serving the Upper East Side healthy doses of caffeine since 2015.

While a black iced coffee may cost around $6 (we know, pretty steep), their premiere coffee beans and Australian coastal decor make it all worth it.
