Audi with 30 Speeding Violations Involved in Four-Car Crash on the FDR Drive

MANHATTAN – A Revel rideshare Tesla and a souped-up Audi with the license plate ‘Lef [sic] 4 Dead’ were among four cars involved in a chain-reaction crash on the FDR Drive near East 77th Street on the Upper East Side just before noon, sending at least one person to the hospital for their injuries and leaving a young UES couple and their baby shaken up after the collision.

The couple, who was riding in the blue Revel rideshare Model Y, tells Upper East Site the driver was just explaining to them how the roads are becoming more dangerous when another car slammed into them from behind— though it’s not clear which one— and within seconds the Tesla was smashed against the black Audi in the highway’s left lane.

The young couple was not treated for any injuries at the scene but told Upper East Site they planned to have their infant checked out by a doctor right away.

Once the baby blue Tesla was moved, the Audi’s mangled front passenger side rim and wheel were visible— bent in a direction they’re not supposed to go.

  1. Traffic in the city is out of control, and the FDR is among the worst. Speed limit is 40, average speed is 50-70, and NO ENFORCEMENT WHATSOEVER.
